The Energy Drone & Robotics Summit brought together the people who actually deploy these systems—asset owners, operators, regulators, integrators and technology providers. The strongest signal was unmistakable: industrial autonomy is moving beyond isolated pilots.

DPR exhibited autonomous aerial systems, industrial ground robotics, methane-detection technologies and integrated inspection workflows. The conversations at Booth 408 reinforced why our role is broader than equipment sales: customers are trying to connect platforms, sensors, software and support into systems that work reliably in the field.

Five themes from the summit

01

Autonomy is becoming operational

The conversation has moved beyond demonstrations toward repeatable programs, remote operations and measurable business outcomes.

02

Air and ground are converging

Asset owners increasingly evaluate drones and ground robots as complementary data-collection platforms.

03

Inspection data must drive action

Thermal, acoustic, visible and gas sensors matter only when results connect to maintenance and operational decisions.

04

Methane requires method clarity

Detection, visualization, localization and quantification are different objectives requiring different technologies.

05

Deployment support is the differentiator

Organizations need integration, training, workflow design and field support—not another disconnected piece of hardware.

“The industrial market is no longer asking whether drones and robots can collect data. It is asking how to deploy them repeatedly, safely and at scale.”

What customers asked us

  • When should an inspection use a drone, a robot or both?
  • How do TDLAS and OGI differ for methane workflows?
  • What does autonomous operation require beyond the platform?
  • How do we integrate thermal, acoustic and gas sensing into one inspection program?
  • Who supports the system after the pilot is complete?

From pilot to production

The practical opportunity is not a single drone or robot. It is the ability to define a mission, select the correct sensing method, integrate the platform, deploy the workflow and support it over time. That is the role DPR intends to own.
